Let's Play the Snowball Game

Cut out enough white circles for each of your student's names. Write 1 letter on each "snowball." For longer names make smaller circles. Paint the bottom of a piece of blue construction paper like shown and set aside to dry. Have each child put their letters in order to spell their name and glue onto paper. Add "snowflakes" with paintbrush or q-tips. Say the following:

Let's play the snowball game,
How many letters spell your name? (point to one child and have them count out snowballs as they point to each one, then child says "5 snowballs spell my name") You can also have them say each letter, then proceed to another child.
